Sarah Peterson, MD

Pronouns: She/her
Hometown: Seattle, WA
Medical School: University of California – San Francisco

I was born and raised in Seattle, earned my undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies at Whitman College, and later completed a Masters in Public Administration at Princeton University. Before pursuing a career in medicine, I worked in environmental conservation and clean energy policy. I attended medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, where I conducted research on how students navigate pregnancy and parenting during undergraduate medical training.

I chose to become a Family Physician because I love taking care of patients at all ages and stages of life, and have particular interests in: obstetrics, addiction medicine, and palliative care. As a lifelong conservationist, I try to understand the habitats my patients inhabit and how these affect their opportunities for health and wellbeing. Outside of the clinic, I stay busy biking, paddling, and questing for baked goods with my husband and kids.
