Pnina Strasbourger, MD

Residency Class of 2019

I was born and raised in a small kibbutz in Israel. This is where I picked up my love of nature, as well as my ideals of strong communities and fair social policies.

After high school, I spent a year volunteering in a poor town in the south of Israel. Later, I moved to Seattle to pursue my bachelors in Bioengineering at the University of Washington, where I also worked for several years in microbiology and genetics research.

Enjoying the science, but missing the human touch, I was excited to change careers into medicine and attended the University of Washington School of Medicine. I love the Pacific Northwest and am excited to continue living here. I am passionate about nutrition, wellness, people‚Äôs stories and social determinants of health.  After graduation from residency, I plan to stay in this area for my practice.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, laughing, traveling and learning about different customs and cultures, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, camping, board games and photography.
