Nhi Nguyen, DO
Pronouns: She/her
Hometown: Dong Nai, Vietnam
Medical School: Pacific NW University
I was born in a small close-knit town in Vietnam, and moved to Washington when I was 13 years old. I attended the University of Washington, where I studied Molecular and Developmental Biology, with a minor in Bioethics and Humanities. During undergrad, I had the honor of becoming a part of the Vietnam Health Clinic, where I nurtured my interests in medicine, especially primary care. After spending 2 years after undergrad to work as an Emergency Department scribe and referral coordinator, I was grateful to attend medical school at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences, where I solidified my passion in community-based medicine and primary care. I am thrilled to be at Valley Family Medicine Residency as Valley encompasses everything I love both in medicine and community. This includes the full spectrum training with focus on obstetrics and the close-knit relationships among the team members!
Among all constant changes in my life, one thing that remains consistent is my involvement with the Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement at my local church as a youth leader. Every Saturday, I have the best time being with my students, telling stories, and exploring our faith! Most of the pictures in my camera roll are of gorgeous mountains and lakes, my 2 cats Mushu and Cricket, delicious food, and silly faces of people I love!
