Meagan Wong, DO
After growing up in Seattle’s International District/Chinatown (ID) I have become deeply rooted to the immigrant and underserved community. It has been my goal to give back to the community that raised me and to serve the patients of Pacific Northwest.
I received my undergraduate education at the University of Washington in Physiology and Japanese, where I discovered my passion for medicine. Drawn to the primary care focus, I went on to receive my medical education at Touro University California.
The continuity of patient care and the full-spectrum practice is what draws me to family medicine, with special interest in women’s health and OB. I am very excited to have had the opportunity to continue my medical training at Valley Medical Center. Now that I have completed residency, I am staying in the Seattle area where I will practice by caring for the community that is very important to me.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy volunteering at local community events in the International District of Seattle and spending time with my other half Vish, my family and other loved ones. I am proud to say that I was recognized by the Washington Association of Family Practice as the Virak Scholarship recipient for my work in outstanding patient care and strong service to my community (see http://wafp.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/2018-virak.pdf).
I also enjoy training for marathons, judo, and small art/design projects.
