Kelsie Walczak, DO
Pronouns: She/her
Hometown: San Francisco, CA
Medical School: Pacific NW University
I was born and raised just outside of San Francisco, CA. I attended California Polytechnic State University in the beautiful San Luis Obispo, CA where I majored in Cellular & Molecular Biology. One summer I participated in an internship at OHSU’s Knight Cancer Institute researching the efficacy of various chemotherapies on Leukemia. It was during the clinical rounds with my mentors that I discovered a love for patient care and medicine.
After graduating college, I moved to Seattle, WA and worked as a medical scribe for two years. During this time, I fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. In 2018, I moved to Yakima, WA to start a Master’s program that partnered with Pacific Northwest University, the medical school I matriculated to a year later.
During medical school, my interest in all aspects of medicine was cultivated, thus solidifying my purpose in family medicine. I cannot wait to form long lasting relationships with patients and their families, spanning every age and walks of life. Specifically, I love obstetrics, women’s & gender health, and inpatient medicine. I cannot wait to train at Valley’s exceptional program and cater to the diverse people I now consider my home!
Outside of medicine, I enjoy exploring the Pacific Northwest with my husband, who holds a passion for community health dentistry and research. We love to run, backpack, bike, and ski in the Cascades, but we also enjoy walking our fur-niece around Seattle’s many parks. We like to relax with a good cup of coffee, listening to records with our cat, and spending time with our family.
