Sage Tong, DO

Pronouns: she/her
Hometown:
Medical School: University of Incarnate World

Hello! My name is Sage, and I was born in Singapore. My family immigrated to the States when I was 5, where I grew up in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas. I later attended Rice University in Houston where I had an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge liver cancer research for two years. Through my research, I developed an interest in medicine and how to help the human body heal from a diverse range of illnesses. I later graduated with a B.A. in Kinesiology.

I found my calling in family medicine while in medical school at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine. I love helping people understand their medical care by translating for patients, breaking down medical terminology, and fostering an open dialogue. I especially enjoy talking about preventive care, low-cost therapies, and mental health. I’m excited to continue to support my patients in their medical journey with Valley Family Medicine.

Outside of the clinic, I love exploring the city with my dog, my cat, and my partner. I enjoy browsing the snack shelves at the grocery store, playing board games, scuba diving, and skiing.
