Pronouns: She/Her
Hometown: Southern, CA
Medical School: A.T. Still University
I was born in Hainan, China which is known as the ‘Hawaii of China’ but eventually immigrated to the U.S. at a very young age. After living briefly in Phoenix, AZ and Brooklyn, NY, my family settled down in Southern California. I attended University of California, San Diego for my undergraduate education and graduated with a degree in Human Biology.
I have always had curiosity and interest in healthcare, inspired by my early memories of visiting my mom in the hospital during her shifts as a nurse in our home country. Since then, I’ve explored my own footing in healthcare in various ways. During my time in undergrad and gap year, I worked as a medical receptionist, participated in research looking into oocyte development, advocated for the homeless population in San Diego. It was the culmination of all these experiences and my time working as a medical assistant and surgery scheduler at a clinic that I realized my calling to become a physician. I am excited to continue my medical journey with Valley Family Medicine, where I can continue to further my interests in women’s health, preventative medicine, and addiction medicine while focusing on care for the marginalized and under-resourced communities.
Outside of the clinic, I love exploring the local food and boba scene with my fiancé. We enjoy international travel and getting to know the world through its vast array of cultures and most importantly for us – the food culture.
