Brendan Jackson-Fowl, DO
Pronouns: he/him
Hometown: Baltimore, MD
Medical School: Touro University – NY
I was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. I moved to Minnesota to attend Carleton College where I majored in Biology and was on both the baseball and track and field teams. After graduating from Carleton, I followed my then girlfriend (now wife) to Boston, spending two years doing stem cell and regenerative biology research at Boston Children’s Hospital. Following my time in research, I returned to Baltimore to get a master’s degree in biochemistry at Johns Hopkins. From Baltimore, my wife and I continued our East Coast tour, relocating to New York City for medical school at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem.
About five years ago my wife’s family relocated to the Seattle area. During the fall of 2021, we spent an extended time in Seattle with them while I finished up medical school. Both of us fell in love with the area. After spending most of my life on the east coast I am excited to be moving to the PNW and joining the Valley Family Medicine team.
My areas of interest are obstetrics, pediatrics, and community health. I decided to pursue a career in family medicine because the specialty incorporates so many of my passions and gives me the opportunity to form life ling relationships with my patients.
In my free time I enjoy cooking and wine. One day I dream of being both a doctor and winemaker. My wife and I have two dogs, Barney and Betty and we love to take them out to the beach or hiking. While I am a far cry from the athlete I once was, I still love to play a game of pick-up basketball, a round of golf or (a PNWs discovery) a game of pickleball.
