Jon Neher, M.D.

Assoc. Director Curriculum Development

Jon (he/him) received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and mathematics from the University of La Verne in 1980. He graduated from University of California, San Diego School of Medicine in 1984 and completed his family medicine residency at the University of Washington in 1988 (including a fourth year as chief resident and faculty development fellow). Jon then spent two years on faculty at the USC-affiliated family medicine residency at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier, CA, before returning to the Northwest and joining Valley Family Medicine in 1990. He is manages the program curriculum in orthopedics, sports medicine, procedures and, with a CAQ in geriatrics, acts as a facilitator of the residency’s nursing home experience.

An avid academic writer, he is Editor-in-Chief of the Evidence-Based Practice newsletter and an assistant editor for the Family Practice Inquiries Network.

Jon is an avid hiker and enjoys dabbling in outdoor photography.
