Alex Nguyen, DO

I grew up in Shoreline, Washington, and am excited to return to the Seattle area for residency. I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Washington before earning my medical degree from William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine. My journey into medicine was shaped by both my academic experiences and personal life, including helping care for my father after he was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. That experience showed me the impact of education, lifestyle changes, and having a physician who truly takes the time to connect with their patients.

I chose family medicine because of the opportunity to build long-term relationships and care for patients across all stages of life. I am particularly interested in preventive care and chronic disease management, especially conditions like diabetes and hypertension, as well as promoting overall wellness through a holistic approach. Outside of medicine, I enjoy trying new restaurants, staying active, playing tennis, and spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy mentoring students who are interested in pursuing careers in medicine.
