Munif Chowdhury, DO
I grew up in Washington state and was born right here at Valley Medical Center. I attended the University of Washington – Seattle, where I majored in Microbiology and Cellular, Molecular & Developmental Biology. After graduating, I served with AmeriCorps before completing medical school at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences. I’m looking forward to returning to Valley, where I can serve the community that raised me.
My medical interests include refugee and immigrant health, hospice and palliative care, and health policy. I am actively involved in advocacy work focused on protecting and strengthening Medicaid and Medicare, with the broader goal of establishing a universal, single-payer healthcare system. I also enjoy chronic disease management and caring for patients across all stages of life, from the cradle to the golden years.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy playing tennis, running, reading, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends exploring our beautiful state.
