Rob Prongay, MD

Rob Prongay
Residency Class of 2011

I came to medicine after 15 years in Electronics, Software Engineering and International Marketing. I was pulled to medicine after working on telemedicine systems and volunteering for international relief agencies. After several failed attempts at getting into Doctor School, my dog Tigger and I were recognized by a Denver television station for our volunteer work visiting hospitalized and Hospice patients.  I am keenly aware that my dog got me in to doctor school!

I managed to run my own small business as a software consultant during medical school at The University of Colorado, and went on several international medical stints. Family Medicine was a simple choice, as I enjoy the breadth and depth of it. After my residency training at Valley Family Medicine, I landed at one of the other primary care clinics in the Valley Medical Center network where I practice family medicine.  Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending my time with my family – wife Kathy and my two daughters.
