John received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History of Art from Johns Hopkins University in 2004. Afterwards, he served in the Peace Corps in Mozambique teaching English-as-a-Foreign-Language. He returned to Washington State to complete his medical pre-requisites, and during his time there, he also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Washington State University. He graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 2013 and he completed his Family Medicine Residency Training at the University of Arizona Family Medicine Residency Program. He served as chief resident during his last year in residency. He is excited to be joining faculty at Valley Medical Center where he is able to practice full-spectrum family medicine, work with medical students and residents, and return back to the beautiful Pacific Northwest near family.
John’s professional interests include LGBT health, advocacy, patient education, global health, and underserved populations.
