Devin Schock, MD

Residency Class of 2016

Born and raised in a Seattle suburb, I am a Northwest boy through-and-through. After graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in Physiology, I spent a couple of years working as a Nursing Assistant to get a different understanding of healthcare. Through that experience I gained much more than a new perspective – I also met and married my wife/best friend, who was just finishing nursing school. Soon we headed off to the East Coast, where I completed my medical studies at New York Medical College. Although we enjoyed our sojourn to the opposite coast, we are both excited to be back home in the Pacific Northwest with our friends, family, and the amazing local culture.

My specific interests in Family Medicine are always evolving and expanding, but my core goal as a physician remains the same: partnering with, educating, and empowering patients to take ownership of their own health. I am thrilled to join an amazing team at Valley Family Medicine and look forward to serving the local community for many years to come.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my wife while adding to an ever-growing list of hobbies, sports, and activities. During the summer you can usually find me boating on Lake Washington if I am not at work or working on my house (I love a good carpentry project). In the winter I like to snowboard, watch movies, and travel to remote places to find sunshine. During football season you can find me in front of the television or at the stadium every weekend cheering on the Huskies (Go Dawgs!) and Seahawks (Go Hawks!).  Being back home also allows my wife and me to soak up time with our amazing families, something we dearly missed while we were away.

After Graduating from VFM in 2016, I have decided to stay in the Valley family and will be working at one of the network clinics!
