Brandon Fainstad, MD was born and raised in Colorado. He received a Bachelors of Science in biochemistry at the University of Texas in Austin then a Medical Doctoral degree at the University of Colorado. He completed both his internship and residency training in internal medicine at the University of Washington. From 2014 to 2018 he worked as a clinical faculty hospitalist in General Internal Medicine at the University of Washington.

During his time at the University of Washington he focused primarily on clinical education and curriculum development for the internal medicine residency program and the school of medicine, along with the development of teachIM.org. He is currently the Clinical Coordinator of Inpatient Medicine for the Family Medicine Residency at Valley Medical Center.

Dr. Fainstad is married with two young children.
