I grew up in Los Angeles and steadily moved northward over the years, finally making the Puget Sound my home eight years ago. After graduating high school, I attended Stanford University, where I studied English Literature. After college I worked in HIV/AIDS education at San Francisco General Hospital. Feeling that my colleagues and I made a difference in our community on a daily basis and positively impacted the lives of those around us was the most rewarding experience of my life. Eventually, I decided that a hospital wasn’t the best place for an English major to build a career and I went on to work in business consulting for nearly a decade. It was fun and challenging, but I was never quite able to recapture a feeling of usefulness in my community, so I decided to make a change and enter the field of Medicine. I earned my MD from the University of Washington School of Medicine and I’m proud to remain a member of the UW Medicine family.

In Family Medicine, I find the opportunity to be a positive part of my community every day. Whether it be a complicated medical case in the hospital, a well child check in clinic, or simply making a patient aware of other resources available in the community, I’ve recaptured that feeling of being useful to the people around me. I truly believe that Valley Family Medicine makes a difference in the health, happiness, and ability to thrive of those that we serve.

In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I also enjoy good food, good friends, good music, and dancing. I love road trips and traveling. I have also been fortunate enough to have visited more countries and continents than ever seemed possible when I was growing up. Although you can take the boy out of Los Angeles, some things will never change: I still love the Dodgers, playing dominoes, and hanging out on the stoop swapping funny stories with my friends and neighbors.
